LATEST NEWS: Our next readings (informal auditions) will be for Robin Hood, our upcoming family pantomime, and will be held on 3rd and 8th July at 8pm at St Hilda’s Church Hall. Whether you’re interested in joining us on stage or backstage, we’d love for you to come along! PLEASE NOTE: To become a member you must be 16 years of age or above on September 1st.
It takes a huge amount of work to put on our shows.
Rehearsals take around 3 months for each production, and we meet every Tuesday and Thursday. Before this, our incredible backstage team meet for months to design and create our wonderful sets, source the props, and start creating our colourful costumes.
Once the preparations and rehearsals are finished, we’re ready to perform in front of an audience. We have a front of house team arriving early to prepare the hall, and then see people to their seats and sell refreshments, ice creams and raffle tickets, as well as making and serving our complimentary teas, coffees and soft drinks.
We’re always looking for new members who are interested in helping out with any aspect of our productions, whether on stage, backstage or helping on performance days. For more information call our secretary Mike on 01784 252170.
